1. Exercise play — Running around, chasing, dancing, obstacle courses

3. Exploratory play — hide and seek, scavenger hunts
4. Solitary Play — doing puzzles
5. Group or team competitive games — basketball, relay races, capture the flag
6. Group noncompetitive games — parachute games, duck duck goose
7. Individual competitive games — racing, hopscotch, 4 square
8. Stand and stretch activities — yoga, Simon says
9. Functional play — practicing a new skill
10. Constructive play — building with blocks
11. Outdoor learning activities — digging & exploring, playing with rocks
